Touched by Type 1 has been spreading awareness about Type 1 Diabetes since 2000, previously known as Dancing for Diabetes. The mission of Touched by Type 1 is to elevate awareness of Type 1 Diabetes, raise funds to find a cure and inspire those with diabetes to thrive. We create and participate in a variety of events and initiatives to educate the community about the realities of living with Type 1 Diabetes – and raise funds to assist in finding a cure. And for those living with the daily reality of Type 1 Diabetes, we offer a supportive community with many interactive programs and creative resources designed to empower one to thrive with T1D.

Until a cure for Type 1 Diabetes is found, it is our mission to support the approximately 1.9 million American children and adults whose lives are impacted. We do this with passion to support those we serve and with gratitude for the impact made possible through the leadership of our Board of Directors and through the generosity of our sponsors and community partners.
