Event Summary: The Annual Touched by Type 1 Conference

Touched by Type 1’s highly anticipated Annual Conference went off without a hitch last month at the stunning and award-winning Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

Since 2017, Touched by Type 1 has produced a free conference for individuals of all ages and backgrounds with the goal to educate, encourage, and empower all lives touched by Type 1 diabetes. The annual conference provides attendees with the opportunity to be surrounded by some of the nation’s top experts focused on thriving, despite living with diabetes. Since 2022, Touched by Type 1 has offered speaker sessions solely in Spanish to connect with those in the Spanish community who have a connection to Type 1 Diabetes. 

This year’s event was one filled with not only uplifting stories of encouragement and perseverance but also education and take-aways on how to thrive in this T1D journey. Tears were shed, laughs were had, and, most importantly, connections were made. We would like to thank all of our speakers, vendors, sponsors, and passionate volunteers who made this day possible! And thank you to all of you who traveled near and far to be here, we hope you had an incredible day and we’ll plan to see you at the next one!
